Quorrobolong Rural Fire Brigade
Our firm has a massive presence in Quorrobolong Rural Fire Brigade both in office and on the fire front. Our IT Support Service Manager, Doug Palfreyman, has volunteered with the Quorrobolong Rural Fire Brigade since January 1998. Doug's role as Deputy Captain and Vice President has seen him play a vital role in the upkeep of the Brigade. Doug also acts as a key figurehead in the effectiveness of Quorrobolong's crew members in times of need. Our Principal, Simone Palfreyman, acted as Treasurer for Quorrobolong Rural Fire Brigade for 20 years.
Cessnock Chamber of Commerce
Palfreyman Chartered Accountants is proud to be the accountant for Cessnock Chamber of Commerce. As a means of assisting our local Chamber of Commerce in supporting and growing our local business district, we offer discounted services and assistance to the Chamber. Our Administration Manager, Olivia, has also served terms as a board member of the Chamber of Commerce.
Toronto Pony Club
Our Principal, Simone Palfreyman, has had a long standing role in the development and management of Toronto Pony Club since 1984. Simone spent many years as the President, Secretary, Treasurer and Chief Instructor of the club. In these roles Simone has been responsible for improvements of infrastructure and our club's primary instructor, as well as ensuring the club maintains a positive and encouraging environment for riders and parents to learn in. Simone's commitment to Toronto Pony Club was recognised by the Pony Club Association of New South Wales as a recipient of the 2018 Volunteer of the Year award. Our Administration Manager, Olivia Palfreyman, has also been involvement in Toronto Pony Club since 2001. Acting both as a rider and community member, Olivia has served as the Chief Instructor, Club Captain and Treasurer of the club. As Chief Instructor, Olivia was able to be both a mentor and role model for our riders, and is a key figurehead in ensuring they are well on their way to a safe, successful riding journey. Olivia's involvement in Toronto Pony Club was recognised by the Pony Club Association of New South Wales, were she was awarded the Keith Lowe Award which recognises senior riding members who have provided practical assistance and outstanding service to their club and zone. Olivia was also chosen as a finalist for Pony Club Australia's Rider of the Year award.
Zone 24 Pony Club
Simone Palfreyman was the Treasurer of Zone 24 Pony Club, which is inclusive of all pony clubs from Toronto to Mangrove Mountain. Simone's commitment to Zone 24 was recognised by the Pony Club Association of New South Wales as a recipient of the 2018 Volunteer of the Year award.
Wallsend New Lambton Pony Club
Our Business Services/Practice Manager Kayla Russell, is the President of Wallsend New Lambton Pony Club. Being in her second year of presidency, Kayla has helped the club regrow and develop to allow riders to learn in the best environment. Kayla also has a massive contribution to the organisation and running of events.
Awaba Oval Committee
Simone also supports the Awaba Oval Committee through her position as Secretary. This committee is responsible for maintaining the grounds at Lake Macquarie which is used for youth and adult sports including equestrian, cricket and soccer.
Singleton Dressage Club
Our Business Services/Practice Manager, Kayla Russell, is the point score committee member for Singleton Dressage Club. Taking on this position was a way for Kayla to say thank you to the volunteers that have run the club for many years.
Cessnock Dog Club - Obedience Section
Palfreyman Chartered Accountants is the accountant for Cessnock Dog Club. To help support the local organisation, we offer tailored services and assistance to the committee to ensure their records are maintained and statutory requirements are fulfilled.
